Overview#

Akeed — COD confirmation infrastructure for merchants.

Akeed is not only for Shopify. If you sell on social media, through a marketplace, on another platform, or from a spreadsheet, you can use Akeed on its own. You add your cash-on-delivery (COD) orders to Akeed, Akeed confirms each one with the customer on WhatsApp, and you see the result in your dashboard.

This is called the standalone way of using Akeed. The confirmation flow is the same as on Shopify. Only the way orders arrive and the way you pay are different.

Akeed is for COD order confirmation. It does not send confirmation messages for orders that are already paid online.

Rule	Details
One credit	One WhatsApp message sent to a customer.
Follow-ups	A reminder to a customer who has not replied uses one more credit.
Failed sends	If WhatsApp does not accept a message, the credit returns to your account automatically.
Launch credits	New accounts receive 30 free credits once, with no credit card. Your balance is shown in the app.
Price	EGP 2.00 per credit at the time of writing. A message and its follow-up cost EGP 4.00 together.
No subscription	You pay only when you buy credits. There is no monthly charge.

Mistake	Better Approach
Starting a large import with a low balance	Check your balance first. Akeed will not start unless your credits cover every order in the import.
Shipping before the customer confirms	Ship Confirmed orders first.
Forgetting that follow-ups use credits	Plan for up to two credits per order.
Expecting online-paid orders to be confirmed	Only COD orders are confirmed.
